Whoever invented the expression “shop till you drop” clearly visited the Mall of America. Located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the mall not only contains its own theme park, but over 520 stores.Needless to say, shoppers can find any and all of their retail favorites: Macy’s, Nordstrom’s, Barnes and Nobles, Reeds Jewelers, and Lindt Chocolates. Yet, what makes the mall so extraordinary is its vast collection of high end and specialty stores. True, the shops can be found in other locations, but you’d be lucky to find more than one in the same place. At Mall of America, there are several specialty shops under one roof: such as the American Girl store. Here, fans of the dolls can find any of the American Girl’s merchandise or celebrate a party in the store’s event room. If you’re more of a LEGO fan, how about visiting the mall’s LEGO store, where you can get inspired by over 90 LEGO sculptures? Meanwhile, parents can enjoy some of the other high end shops, such as Swarovski Crystal or the Apple store.Yet alongside the worlds’ most sought after shopping, there’s even a movie theatre, a miniature golf course, a MagiQuest, and an underground aquarium. Oh, and don’t forget the mall’s theme park, Nickelodeon Universe. With rides based on the network’s cartoons, guests can ride the Spongebob Squarepants Rock Bottom Plunge or the Fairly Odd Coaster. And there are plenty of rides for the little ones, including the Dora themed Ferris wheel, El Circulo Del Cielo. For ride prices, visit the Nickelodeon Universe’s site. You’re bound to fall in love with the Mall of America, so why not take it to the next step. . . no really, grab your fianc/e and get married there. On top of everything else the mall has, there’s also The Chapel of Love Wedding Chapel. So whether it’s for the vast variety of stores, or for a little family fun, the Mall of America is a must-see for all Minnesota tourists.
